Mashed Potato Station by Cindy Krag Catering

Frequently Asked Questions

Brides and clients always like to make sure the details of their events are covered. We've put together a list of questions we get asked most often.

*Keep in mind, these answers do not apply to all caterers - just us!

1. Will you cut and serve our wedding cake even if you don't supply it?
Of course we will, sugar! We do need to know if you're bringing the cake plates, napkins, and forks. We'd be happy to supply those if you don't buy any.

2. Do you clean up and bus the tables throughout the event?
Yes we do! We'll make sure the trash is gathered and taken out at the end of your event to make sure you don't lose your security deposit.

3. Can I just hire a few bartenders and service staff for a small gathering I'm having?
No problem! All of our bartenders have their ABC Certifications. Our service staff is available to keep your food replenished and looking good so you can enjoy mingling with your guests.

4. Can I buy small quantities of your dishes for a meal at home?
We don't have a walk-in store or restaurant, but we'll have a tent at the Collierville Farmer's Market. Check their web-site for dates and times! www.ColliervilleFarmersMarket.org

5. Do you require a deposit to hold my event date?
Yes we do. We charge a flat fee to hold your date, and your final payment is due two weeks before your event along with your final guest count.

6. Do you charge any service fees?
We sure don't! The price I give you includes my staff, setup, and breakdown.

7. Will you provide the dishes and flatware or do I have to reserve it through another company?
I'm really flexible! I have an extensive inventory of pottery, crystal, cast iron, copper, flatware, goblets, etc. If you would like to use a different style that I don't have, I will work with a rental company to make sure we have the correct quantities for your guests!

8. Do you do tastings?
Of course! Tastings are available upon request. Our initial meeting will focus on the details of your event, what flavors and styles you like, and I'll answer any questions you have. A tasting typically won't happen until the second appointment.

9. How do you create the recipes you used?
A lot of my recipes are handed down in my family. I also try to take a cooking class or two every time I go to a new place. I'm all about learning new skills and ways to create delicious food!

10. Is there a minimum amount I have to spend on your services?
Definitely not! We can plan dinners for two people, or we can accommodate brunch for 300! We'll find out more about your event and how we can help. We'll work to stay within your budget!

11. Can you create custom items or will I choose from a list?
When I meet with you, I'll find out what types of food you like. From there, we'll create a custom menu just for your event. If you'd like me to drum up a new dish, I'm always up for the challenge!
